John 15:13 “Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” Jesus backed his words up with his actions when he died on the cross over 2,000 years ago. He always allowed his actions to speak louder than his words. The main words he always stressed were “love each other” (John 15:17). The LOVE of Christ caused Him to give up his life so that we could live. There are people all over the world “dying” from lack of food; lack of finances; and lack love. When was the last time you donated food, time, and money to those who were unable to obtain it for themselves? When was the last time you gave up something to make sure someone else had? Christ laying down his life meant he had to give it up so that we could live. What are you willing to give up today so that someone else can live?
